What Matters Now and What to Do Next
A practical breakfast briefing for PE leaders on where agentic AI is starting to matter, what to prioritise now, and how to turn early momentum into real operating advantage across firms and portfolios.

Agenda
This session is designed for PE leaders who have moved beyond early curiosity and are now asking more practical questions: where agentic AI is starting to create real advantage, how to separate meaningful progress from market noise, and what needs to change inside firms and portfolios to turn experimentation into operational value.

The morning will bring together real-world case studies, strategic discussion, and peer exchange to explore how private equity firms are applying AI today, where agentic approaches may change how work gets done, and what good looks like when it comes to governance, operating models, adoption, and ROI. The discussion will reflect the wider maturity range in the New York market, where some firms are still building foundations while others are already thinking about AI agents as part of the future workforce.

Delegates will leave with a clearer view of where agentic AI is genuinely gaining traction, a better understanding of the decisions that matter most now, and practical insight they can apply across the firm and portfolio.
Introduction
Opening remarks + Agentic AI level-set
Steve Budd, Founder, AI Pathfinder
Chandini Jain, Founder & CEO, Auquan
We’ll open the morning by setting the tone for AI Pathfinder in New York and grounding the discussion in where private equity firms currently stand on AI maturity, readiness, and agentic adoption. Steve will share benchmark insights from the room and wider network, followed by Chandini, who will provide a practical level-set on agentic AI, helping delegates distinguish between AI assistance, workflow automation, and genuinely agentic ways of working.

Case studies
Applying Agentic AI in the Portfolio
Moderator: Bret Greenstein, Chief AI Officer, West Monroe
Speakers:
Alan Rozet, Operating Principal at CD&R
Darryl Agostinelli, Operating Partner at Abry Partners
This session will focus on where agentic AI is becoming relevant across portfolio companies, what it takes to turn interest into operational progress, and what separates real traction from surface-level experimentation. We will get beyond the headlines and into the implementation realities around value creation, ownership, readiness, and adoption in the portfolio.
Expert view
From Pilot to Progress - an AI Operator’s View
Speaker:
Ori Daniel, Head of AI Solutions at Ramp
In this short operator-focused session, Ori Daniel, Head of AI Solutions at Ramp, will share what seasoned AI operators learn when trying to move from experimentation to repeatable adoption. The discussion will focus on how to unlock scale, where organisations tend to get stuck, and what PE leaders should be asking if they want to accelerate progress across firms and portfolios.
Workshop
Redesigning a PE workflow for the agentic era
Speaker:
Chandini Jain, Founder & CEO, Auquan

To close the morning, Chandini Jain will lead a practical, table-based working session designed to make the “agentic” question more concrete. Rather than asking where AI could simply assist, each table will work through a PE workflow and discuss which parts should remain human-led, which are best handled by deterministic automation, and which could be owned or coordinated by agents, along with the controls and conditions needed to make that credible in practice. The aim is to give delegates a more useful framework for thinking about agentic application in their own context.
